Welcome to Yermat!

We hope you will enjoy it. It's a social network: it's up to its members to make it alive, and the more people join, the more you'll be able to enjoy its features ;-)
This is a first version. The features are already numerous and will be enriched (for example, voice calls and videos are expensive!), it's up to you to discover them... and, of course, to challenge them to improve your user experience.
We are not Meta: the application is developed with a small budget and a lot of our personal time. It is obvious that you will encounter some bugs. Time for us to find partners to support us if enough users join the application.
In order to make it easier for you to get started, we'll describe some of the features below. We have a lot of ideas to use them in different ways (play who’s who, organize online conferences or real life meetings, conduct debates, rediscover your friends or colleagues, fill your private room and many more!), but we want to let your creativity play to imagine the possible use cases.

1) The Meet-Ups

The principle of the Meet-Up is to be able to exchange with people without necessarily inviting them to join your contacts. We believe it is necessary to leave time for discovery before creating a link between two people.
You define the characteristics of the people with whom you wish to exchange. If you also match their search criteria, then a Meet-Up is created.
The more criteria you define, the smaller the target population will be.
You cannot use criteria that you have not filled in for yourself.
You can also make direct requests for Meet-Ups by clicking on a user's nickname in the groups. We will also suggest you Meet-Ups based on your interactions in the groups. Meet-Up generated in this way are accessible through your profile page.
You have 10 days to exchange and vet or not the other individual. If your Meet-Up also accepts to go further, then a contact is created. You should think carefully: you will not be able to find the same Meet-Up if you refuse to pursue the discussion.
And if your contact annoys you, you can always block him or her until the 10-day period is over. We give you 10 days to make up your mind, reversing it is possible as you can regret your decision!

2) Groups

There are two types of groups, private groups and public groups.
Each group is initiated by a user who can appoint or revoke administrators. The administrators manage the group. Only the initiator can change the settings of the group. A previously accepted member will remain in the group regardless of any changes to the criteria. If you initiate a group you will not be able to leave it (unless you transfer your rights) or delete it (this will come).
You have to apply to join a private group. To do this, you need to know its exact name. Otherwise you won't find it. Each user has a private group at his exact name.
Public groups are open to everyone.
Don't abuse your freedom of speech in groups: users can vote you out of them. Don't worry, the administrators will decide if you should be banned permanently. However, if you exaggerate, you could be prevented from joining public groups.
Group chats can be filtered: conversations between several users are isolated in 'Hot Topics'. Swipe left and the list of Hot Topics appears. You can interact directly in the associated thread. You can delete the ones you are not interested in, but then you will not be able to follow them anymore. You can let these adjacent conversations appear in the main chat, or choose to hide them.
You can also hide all exchanges to only read the administrators' messages.

3) Contacts

Not much to say about them: they are your contacts!

4) Others

Your profile page is still quite empty, we didn't have the budget. We have some ideas to improve it, don't hesitate to tell us yours!
If you don't want to risk receiving inappropriate images or videos, you can disable them by category: groups, meet'ups or contacts (this function is not yet individualized)
Finally, you can share messages to multiple contacts.
